Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest
Days 2: Chimps Tracking in Kibale Forest
Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala and Departure
Day 1: Kampala – Kibale National Park
Have breakfast at your hotel in Kampala and embark on a half day drive west through Mityana to Fort Portal via papyrus swamps and thick forests of the Nile Delta to Kibale Forest National Park simply under the Ruwenzori Mountains as you pass through verdant countryside and traditional homesteads and farms. You will have en route stopover in Fort Portal for lunch. From there continue with your trip to Kibale Forest. Dinners and overnight will be at Kyaninga / Mountains of the Moon / Chimps Nest.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale National Park
After early morning breakfast at the lodge; you will transfer to Kibale Forest National Park, reputable for having the highest concentration of primates in East Africa for chimpanzee tracking. This is a half day search for chimpanzees and different primates in the forest including; phoestes, Red-Colobuses, Blues, Red-tailed and grey cheeked Mangabeys swinging on the tree branches. Your tour guide will give detailed information not only primates, as well as on all the forests’ fauna and flora, guaranteeing that your walk is informative, charming and phenomenal for viewing bird life and primates. After the tracking return back to the lodge for lunch, and towards the evening enjoy the Bigodi swamp walk an activity of local community. The Bigodi swamp is known for its variety of bird species including the rare shoebill stock. You will have your dinner and overnight at Kyaninga Lodge / Mountains of the Moon / Chimps Nest.
Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala
Have breakfast at your lodge and enjoy a hike to the Ndali crater lakes a stunning experience for sightseeing and the best scenery in Uganda. Later transfer back to Kampala with lunch en-route. You will arrive in Kampala late afternoon and then drive to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
