Overview
Take a 3 day gorilla trekking tour in Bwindi Forest National Park to visit the gorillas; you will spend a maximum of one hour with mountain gorillas go about their life, take photographs – gorilla trekking is the most rewarding and interesting wildlife experience in Africa. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is home to over half of the remaining endangered mountain gorillas; this safari will start and ends in Kampala.
Brief Itinerary:
Day 01: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
Day 3: Transfer to Kampala. End safari!
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
The three days gorilla trekking safari in Uganda will start with a morning breakfast at the hotel and drive southwestwards to Bwindi Forest National Park, with stopover at the equator and Mbarara town for lunch. After lunch, you will proceed with the scenic drive to Kabale town, also known as the “Switzerland of Africa” and later, connect to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Dinner and overnight will be at Gorilla Forest Camp / Silverback Lodge / Buhoma community Bandas.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Community Walk.
In the morning after breakfast at the lodge, you will transfer to the national park headquarters for a short briefing from the park ranger about the rules and regulations while with the gorillas in the jungle. After the briefing, you will enter the forest for a memorable gorilla trekking adventure. The gorilla trekking activity may take 2 – 6 hours depending on the movement of gorillas in their nature environment. Meet and stay with mountain gorillas for a maximum of one hour as your take photos and observe how they interact in natural habitat, then after return back to the park headquarters and after that to your Lodge for lunch and unwinding. In the evening you may enjoy a community walk in the nearby Batwa community, where you will be entertained by their unique culture.
Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge as on day one.
Day 3: Transfer to Kampala.
In the morning, you will leave this beautiful place and drive back to Kampala with stopovers for photography and lunch reaching late in the afternoon, and you will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight or to the airport for your departure flight.
