Day 01: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
The three days gorilla trekking safari in Uganda will start with a morning breakfast at the hotel and drive southwestwards to Bwindi Forest National Park, with stopover at the equator and Mbarara town for lunch. After lunch, you will proceed with the scenic drive to Kabale town, also known as the “Switzerland of Africa” and later, connect to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Dinner and overnight will be at Gorilla Forest Camp / Silverback Lodge / Buhoma community Bandas.
Day 2: First Gorilla Trekking and Community Walk.
In the morning after breakfast at the lodge, you will transfer to the national park headquarters for a short briefing from the park ranger about the rules and regulations while with the gorillas in the jungle. After the briefing, you will enter the forest for a memorable gorilla trekking adventure. The gorilla trekking activity may take 2 – 6 hours depending on the movement of gorillas in their nature environment. Meet and stay with mountain gorillas for a maximum of one hour as your take photos and observe how they interact in natural habitat, then after return back to the park headquarters and after that to your Lodge for lunch and unwinding. In the evening you may enjoy a community walk in the nearby Batwa community, where you will be entertained by their unique culture.
Day 3: Second Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
On this day, you will follow the same procedure like on the first gorilla trekking, you will track another gorilla family / group, and different from one you tracked on the previous day. After the tracking, you will transfer back to Lake Bunyonyi, one of the world’s fresh water lakes, free of Bilharzia, where you will have your dinner and overnight at Acadia Cottages / Bunyonyi Overland Camp.
Day 4: Transfer to Kampala.
In the morning after your breakfast, you will go for a boat cruise along the lake and rotate around the numerous islands on the lake and have a scenic perspective of the well terraced hills around the lake. Later hit the road and transfer back to Kampala with stopovers for photography and lunch reaching late in the afternoon, and you will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight or transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
